CHPRB Workshop – Teaching Residents to Teach!

In preparing for the 2010 Accreditation Standards, the Canadian Hospital Pharmacy Residency Board (CHPRB) will conduct a workshop on Teaching Residents to Teach! The focus of the workshop is Standards 3.5.3 - How to incorporate practice based teaching roles (direct instruction, modeling, coaching and facilitation) into a residency program .

CHPRB Residency Networking Event (Formally known as the Mentorship Program)

The goal is to provide a networking opportunity for pharmacy residents to meet practising pharmacists and leaders of the profession. The residents will have the opportunity to explore career development and choices and talk about experiences, etc. The format will be quick roundtable discussions, led by volunteer practitioners (directors, coordinators, preceptors, etc.). The volunteers will have a few minutes to describe their career choices and interests, and then the residents will ask questions. Residents will move tables every 15 minutes. The interactions will be limited to the duration of the reception unless practitioners and residents develop their own networking or mentoring relationships. Examples of mentoring programs and contracts will be provided at an information table, and identified at the beginning of the reception.

Research and Education Foundation Golf Event
