This video has been created with the collaboration of the Association des pharmaciens des établissements de santé du Québec, the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists, and Fierbourg, centre de formation professionnelle. This video is part of a series entitled Pharmacy Procedures for Sterile Product Preparation, designed to help healthcare workers and professionals master the technique of preparing sterile products in the pharmacy. This video is the result of close cooperation between the Association des pharmaciens des établissements de santé du Québec and Fierbourg, centre de formation professionnelle. Pharmacy Procedures for Sterile Product Preparation - Principles of Asepsis (copyright 2005) is meant for anyone involved in the preparation of sterile products. The first in a series of three training packages, this video looks at the principles of asepsis. Asepsis refers to all measures taken to prevent or minimize introduction of microorganisms in a given environment. Unless indicated otherwise, the principles and procedures illustrated in this video apply to the handing and preparation of any sterile product, that is, any product free of microorganisms. A viewer's guide and grids comes with this video. Note: Those documents are not available for rental. NEW!
