*Harmonized Sales Tax for Ontario and British Columbia – Point of Sale Rebate The Governments of Ontario and BC each introduced harmonized sales tax (HST) on July 1, 2010.
The provinces announced that they would provide a point of sale rebate to the provincial part of the HST payable on qualifying books.
In Ontario this rebate would be 8% and in BC 7%.
The CSHP publications that are considered “qualifying books” and are applicable to the point of sale rebate in the provinces of BC and Ontario are:
