RESIDENCY PROGRAM

Est. stipend: $43,325 per annum. Part-time evening hours available at pharmacist wages. No weekends or on-call.

Program highlights: Designed and conducted in accordance with Accreditation Standards of CHPRB. Our goal is to develop competent and progressive hospital pharmacy practitioners and future leaders of the profession. Our program provides residents with experience in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice. An individualized plan is developed for each resident at the beginning of the program which takes into consideration the resident's background and personal learning objectives. At the conclusion, the resident will be able to: work independently as a staff pharmacist, communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff, demonstrate independent thinking and problem-solving skills in all aspects of pharmacy service, provide pharmaceutical care, demonstrate basic research skills in at least one area of pharmacy practice.

Minimum required credentials: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, registered as a pharmacy intern or pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.  A completed criminal reference check/vulnerable sector search will be required prior to employment.
