Residency TrainingCHPRB Accredited Programs Mount Sinai Hospital Director : Bill Wilson Benefits: % in lieu of benefits Vacation/holiday leave: 2 weeks Education/conference leave: 2 conferences (generally CSHP’S AGM and PPC) Program highlights: General program that emphasizes the development and application of advance practice skills in the provision of direct patient care. The resident will have the opportunity to be an active participant in many of our multidisciplinary health teams and promote the integration of evidence into the decision making process for the patients they are responsible for. Mandatory rotations include medicine, surgery, cardiology, infectious disease, neonatology, drug information, administration and drug distribution. In addition, at the end of the Residency, there is a liaison rotation where the resident covers a service. This serves to help bridge the resident into practice. Elective rotations include: Psychiatry, Acute Pain, Geriatric Medicine, Critical Care, Oncology, ER and Family Health. Required Rotations: Distribution/TPN: 4 weeks Clinical Teaching: 8 weeks Elective Rotations: Resident generally has a choice of 2 electives Minimum required credentials: B.Sc.Phm. plus eligibility for licensure in Ontario.
