RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Type: General

Est. stipend: $35,000 per annum
Benefits: Not applicable to temporary full time staff
Vacation/holiday leave: 2 weeks
Education/conference leave: 2 major pharmacy conferences with options for smaller conferences as applicable
Program highlights: Designed to develop self-directed practitioners with advanced skills in practice of pharmaceutical care. The program offers a wide variety of clinical rotations including specialty clinical rotations in solid organ transplantation, oncology, neurosciences, cardiology, infectious disease, ambulatory HIV Clinic, intensive care and general medicine. Also exposes residents to hospital administration, integrated clinical-distributive pharmacy practice sites, drug information services and ambulatory practice sites. Residents must complete a major project during the residency year. Residents rotate through all three sites of the University Health Network based on the rotations.
Required Rotations:
- Central Pharmacy Operations (1 week)
- Pharmacy Practice (4 weeks)
- Pharmacotherapy and Pharmaceutical Care (PPC) on General Internal Medicine – Clinical Rotation (8 weeks)
- Critical Care – Clinical Rotation (4 weeks)
- Drug Information (4 weeks)
- Administration (2 x 1 week)
- Clinical Practice (5 weeks)
- Project (8 weeks)
Elective Rotations:
-Residents have a choice of 3 elective rotations
-Elective Rotations are 4 weeks each in length
