3. Review the insights from the HPC survey regarding opportunities for enhancing the scope and roles of pharmacy technicians.

About the speaker:

Bal Dhillon has more than 25 years of extensive experience in the pharmacy profession. Her academic journey includes a BSc., RPhT designation, Provincial Instructor diploma, Master of Business Administration with a special focus on process and project management and  more recently, she achieved her Project Management Designation from PMI.  

In addition to her academic background, Bal plays a pivotal role in the pharmaceutical community by designing, developing, and delivering education programs on pharmaceutical compounding, both in sterile and non-sterile environments. She serves as the Director of Education within the Pharmacy Technician Society of BC (PTSBC). 

Bal's commitment to the advancement of the pharmacy profession is underscored by her active involvement in diverse initiatives aimed at promoting education and fostering personal growth among pharmacy personnel in British Columbia. At present, she holds a pivotal position as the Senior Director overseeing Provincial Inventory Management for BC within the Provincial Health Services Authority. Bal Dhillon continues to be a driving force in the field of pharmacy, combining her wealth of experience with her dedication to education and professional development.
