The College of Pharmacy, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences (RFHS), University of Manitoba, Canada invites applications for a full-time position at the rank of Instructor I/II or Senior Instructor, commencing September 01, 2024, or at a time to be negotiated. The position will initially be a term position up to 3 years, with the potential to be a continuing appointment. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, and in accordance with the University of Manitoba Faculty Association collective agreement.

This position will primarily coordinate and teach the Pharmacy Management course in the pharmacy curriculum. They will also contribute to content development, teaching and assessment in Applied Pharmacy Practice Labs (APPL) in Years 1-3 of the PharmD program. The successful applicant will also contribute to teaching and assessment of some clinical content (e.g. case-based seminars) within the clinical stream of courses and have the opportunity to contribute to the pharmacist’s professional development program. The successful candidate will provide service to the College of Pharmacy, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, the profession, and the community as required.

The successful candidate will possess a PharmD or BSc (Pharm) degree with significant, relevant, management and pharmacy practice experience. Advanced training in management (e.g. MBA) is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience and experience working collaboratively. The candidate must have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal teamwork skills. In addition to in-person teaching responsibilities, the ability to teach in a virtual on-line environment is an asset. The successful candidate must maintain an active pharmacy license in good standing and be eligible to practice in Manitoba.

The College of Pharmacy is located in a state-of-the-art Apotex Centre on the Bannatyne Campus at the University of Manitoba. The College of Pharmacy has a long history of excellence in pharmacy education and maintains strong associations with professional bodies and practicing pharmacists in hospitals, community, and primary care settings. It is part of the RFHS and situated on a dynamic campus that provides opportunities for interprofessional collaboration in health sciences education, research, and practice.
