Regional Staff Pharmacist

The Pharmacist is responsible for the provision of direct Pharmacy services to assigned sites. The Pharmacist participates in planning, implementation, coordination and evaluation of Pharmacy services both site specific and regionally and in consultation with the regional pharmacy team. Duties include drug distribution, medication order review, professional practice, clinical pharmacy services, supervise and provide direction to pharmacy assistants, students and interns, oversee distribution and management of controlled drugs and substances and other duties as outlined in a position description.

Pharmacists work collaboratively to deliver medication services to in a variety of care settings including Emergency Department, Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, General Medicine, Adult Intensive Care unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation/Geriatrics, Palliative Care, Chemotherapy, Hemodialysis, Ambulatory Care Programs and smaller rural health centers. Foster a broad range of clinical skills and expertise, servicing a diverse patient population and wide variety of disease states. Decentralized models allow pharmacists to work outside the pharmacy department as integral and valued members of the multidisciplinary team.
