Hospital Pharmacy in Canada Survey

The 22nd Edition of the Hospital Pharmacy in Canada (HPC) Survey is now open! Between July 2021 and the Survey’s close at the end of September, hospitals across the country will be reporting data to create a robust image of the state of hospital pharmacy practice in Canada. Pharmacy directors and teams, you will have now received your questionnaire. Thank you for contributing data from your hospital to this important project!

As in previous editions, the 2020/21 HPC Survey Report will provide comparison of the aggregate results based on province; hospital size; teaching versus non-teaching hospitals, and adult versus pediatric patients. New this year are questions on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on pharmacy services and operations. As well, with the addition of facilities with less than 50 acute care beds, the survey will provide a first look at small hospitals in Canada. This will expand the outreach of the survey to over 500 recipients.

We are grateful for the support of our corporate sponsors, Pfizer Canada, Pharmascience/ Pendopharm, and Baxter Canada. Their funding covers such technical production as survey programming, French translation, publication, and copy editing. As always, the editorial direction, content, survey design, analysis and interpretation are the sole responsibility of the respected pharmacy leaders on our affiliated HPC Survey Board.
