Evidence-based Clinical Practice Guideline for Deprescribing Cholinesterase Inhibitors and Memantine. Developed by the University of Sydney (Australia), in conjunction with the Bruyère Research Institute (Canada), the guideline contains seven recommendations that reflect the current evidence about when and how to trial withdrawal of cholinesterase inhibitors and memantine. It was developed to prevent both unnecessary prescribing as well as the associated adverse effects that can occur when an individual is using multiple medications.
- CSHP's Board endorsed this guideline in December 2017.
