Public Health Ontario has Updated the Ontario Antimicrobial Stewardship Program Comparison Tool

Public Health Ontario has updated the Ontario Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP) Comparison Tool. The tool now includes new information about Antimicrobial Use (AMU) and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in participating hospitals, which is key to enabling peer comparison and understanding patterns of antimicrobial susceptibility in Ontario.

The Ontario ASP Comparison Tool is based on the results of a voluntary survey of Ontario hospitals and hospital corporations. This tool is the first of its kind in Canada and provides a growing source of data for antibiotic stewardship program elements and outcomes.
