RAMS: Additional requirements to complete the Pharmacy Residency Application and Matching Service (PRAMS) application should be sent through PRAMS when applying to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre - General Program  by the application deadline: A site specific cover letter describing why you wish to do a General Pharmacy (Year 1) Residency at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (250 words max). You may apply to either the Sunnybrook General Residency Program or the Ambulatory Care Residency Program, but not both.  
Est. stipend: Approximately- $30,000 per annum

Program highlights: A General Pharmacy (Year 1) Residency is designed to assist practitioners in the development of advanced clinical skills in pharmaceutical care.  In addition, the program creates the opportunity for the residents to provide evidence-based direct patient care as a member of the interprofessional teams. The resident will develop and demonstrate fundamental teaching and leadership skills.

Required Rotations:  

  • General Hospital Orientation: 1 week
  • Distribution: 1 week
  • Clinical Orientation: 1 week
  • Teaching and Learning: 2 weeks
  • Drug Information: 2 weeks
  • Administration: 2 weeks
  • Research Project: 10 weeks
  • Clinical Rotation – General Medicine (Mandatory): 5 weeks
