Surveyors

According to the policies and procedures of the Canadian Pharmacy Residency Board, site surveys are carried out by members of the Board or individuals designated by the Board. For your information, please find below a brief introduction to the surveyors.

Moira Wilson is the Region Director of Pharmacy Services for Horizon Health Network in New Brunswick. Her responsibilities include planning, leading, developing, organizing, coordinating, overseeing and evaluating the delivery of acute care and ambulatory pharmacy services in the health region. Moira has held a number of clinical and administrative positions in healthcare including Staff Pharmacist, Assistant Director and later Director of Pharmacy at the Saint John Regional Hospital and Director of Pharmacy for the former Saint John zone. Moira is the Director of the Residency Programs at the Saint John Regional Hospital and the Moncton Hospital.

Moira graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Dalhousie University and is an active member of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists and has served on a number of Branch and National Committees.

Cathy Burger is a clinical pharmacist in renal transplant and the residency coordinator at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Toronto and went on to complete a residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. She worked at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver and then returned to Mount Sinai to cover internal medicine. Cathy does some consulting and is actively involved in the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada OSCE examination.

Céline graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Dalhousie University and Master of Science at the University of Saskatchewan. Céline is the Professional Practice Manager of Pharmacy at The Ottawa Hospital and Residency Director of The Ottawa Hospital & Montfort Hospital Joint Pharmacy Residency Program. As Manager, she is responsible for the professional practice of the pharmacists and regulated pharmacy technicians. This includes clinical practice, education, and research. Céline has been practising in Ottawa since 1989, first as a Team Leader, then a Specialist in Neurosciences in 199,3 then Chief & Residency Coordinator since 2001, and as of 2016 Professional Practice Manager of Pharmacy at The Ottawa Hospital and Residency Director of The Ottawa Hospital & Montfort Hospital Joint Pharmacy Residency Program.

Céline has been a member of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists since 1985 and has been involved with the Awards program as an appraiser (1991-2015), Membership committee (1992-94), CSHP representative on the NAPRA committee: National Advisory Committee on Pharmacy Practice (NACPP) (2004-07) and currently a reviewer for the Canadian Journal of Hospital Pharmacy. She has been a member of the Canadian Pharmacy Residency Board since 2012 and 2012-13 member of the CPRB Education group then 2013-now member of the CPRB Surveyors group; vice chair 2016 and currently chair of CPRB.

Barb Evans is a Clinical Manager at the Saskatoon Health Region. She is responsible for clinical pharmacy services in the areas of adult medicine, oncology, and emergency. She has been the Coordinator for the Saskatoon Health Region’s Pharmacy Residency Program since 1999 and oversees the Region’s Structured Practice Experiences Program for third- and fourth-year pharmacy students. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor with the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition, University of Saskatchewan and an Associate Member of the Department of Pharmacology, College of Medicine.
 
Barb completed her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan followed by a Hospital Pharmacy Residency at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. She later completed a Master of Science degree in Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan and is a fellow with the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists. Barb has been actively involved with volunteer professional organizations including the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists, at a provincial and national level. She is involved in practice-based research and many safety initiatives including medication reconciliation.

Christine Landry is a clinical pharmacist specialist and a pharmacy residency coordinator for The Ottawa Hospital & Montfort Hospital Joint Pharmacy Residency Program at the Montfort Hospital. She graduated from Université de Montréal with a bachelor in Pharmacy. She obtained a master degree with the same university doing a hospital pharmacy residency program in Montréal. After practicing for a few years, she completed a PharmD program with the University of Denver Colorado. She has worked in many clinical areas including clinical pharmacist in critical care, internal medicine, and family medicine. She also teaches at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa.

Leslie Manuel is a Clinical Resource Pharmacist in Emergency Medicine and Clinical Pharmacy Manager at The Moncton Hospital. She graduated from Dalhousie University, completed a residency at The Moncton Hospital and completed her PharmD at the University of Florida. After her residency she started a practice in emergency medicine. She was the residency coordinator for 7 years prior to becoming the Clinical Pharmacy Manager. She continues to be involved provincially and nationally with CSHP.

Bill Wilson, BSP, FCSHP, ACPR (Member) 

 

Bill Wilson received his B.S.P from the University of Saskatchewan and subsequently completed a hospital pharmacy Residency Program at the Toronto General Hospital. He has held a number of positions in hospital pharmacy practice. He has been active in Pharmacy Associations including CSHP, provincially as well as nationally, CPhA and OPA. He is a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. Bill is also involved in consulting and provides casual relief in Community Pharmacy practice.
