What We Do
"The Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP) is the national voluntary organization of pharmacists committed to patient care through the advancement of safe, effective medication use in hospitals and other collaborative healthcare settings.
CSHP supports its members through advocacy, education, information sharing, promotion of best practices, facilitation of research and recognition of excellence."
CSHP maintains its solid record of supporting pharmacy professionals in advancing their practice in hospitals and other collaborative healthcare settings. It has contributed to improvements to patient care, including how medications are prescribed, prepared, administered, and handled, and to enhancements in collaborative practice models. The Society's efforts are founded on the desire of its members to help create a stronger healthcare system and to improve the health of patients and the public. CSHP's influence goes beyond its members, hospitals, and collaborative healthcare setting, giving support and direction to pharmacy practice wherever care is provided.
CSHP is grateful to its members, past and present, for their support of CSHP and for their dedication to excellence in pharmacy practice in hospitals and other collaborative healthcare settings. Without its ardent and committed volunteers and sponsors, CSHP would not have realized its accomplishments.
