Pharmacist Prescribing in British Columbia
The CSHP BC Branch is involved in advocacy efforts for collaborative pharmacist prescribing (CPP) in BC. The College of Pharmacists of BC recently submitted a proposed framework for pharmacist prescribing in collaborative settings to the BC Ministry of Health for consideration. CPP would allow certified pharmacists who work closely with physicians and nurse practitioners to write prescriptions, so that patients receive the best treatment for their medical conditions and have timely access to their medications.
