Call for expressions of interest – Pharmacy Staffing Ratios and Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) Guidance Documents

Deadline date for applications is October 15th, 2025.
CSHP is seeking expressions of interest from members and stakeholders to participate in two critical initiatives:
- Pharmacy Staffing Ratios – Developing evidence-informed approaches to pharmacy staffing models that support safe, effective, and sustainable patient care.
- Computerized physician order entry (CPOE) – Exploring opportunities and challenges in the design, implementation, and optimization of CPOE systems to enhance medication safety and workflow efficiency.
We are inviting expressions of interest from members who are interested in contributing their expertise to this important work through time-limited working groups.
The working groups will report to the Professional Practice Advisory Committee. Both initiatives are central to strengthening pharmacy practice and advancing system-level improvements in patient care.
We are looking for pharmacy professionals across a wide range of practice settings and levels of experience. Ideal candidates may have one or more of the following:
- Experience with staffing models, workforce planning, or operational management
- Perspectives from hospital, community, or other pharmacy practice environments
- Implementation or optimization of digital health technologies such as CPOE
- Contributions to policy, advocacy, or guideline development
- Knowledge or experience of pharmacy technician practice and intersection with the above topics
