Introducing CSHP Communities: Your new home to connect practice and advance pharmacy

At the heart of CSHP is community—a core value and an integral part of our strategic plan. That’s why we’re excited to announce that CSHP Communities will soon replace Pharmacy Specialty Networks (PSNs), offering a refreshed space for members to connect, share, and grow together.
As CSHP moves to this new platform, QID PSNs will remain active for the time being. Members are encouraged to stay engaged and keep the conversations going on both platforms.
This transition will happen in stages, starting with the launch of five communities in four key areas:
Each CSHP.ca Community will provide a dedicated space for discussion, knowledge exchange, and peer-to-peer support.

General
- CSHP
- This Community, managed by CSHP staff, will be a hub for Society news, Advocacy updates, and key announcements. Health Canada notifications and regulatory updates will be posted here to keep you informed.
Medication Use Systems
- Medication Distribution
- The Medication Distribution Community focuses on best practices related to medication use systems and pharmacy operations. Pharmacy professionals share practice tools, resources, and ideas—particularly around how pharmacy technician scope of practice is shaping and enhancing healthcare-systems practices.
CSHP is currently recruiting a co-chair for this community to serve alongside co-chair Dana Lyons. Anyone interested in helping to lead the conversation can learn more and applying here.
- Compounding
- Designed for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians alike, this community supports rich discussions on sterile, non-sterile compounding and hazardous drug safety. Members of this community are encouraged to exchange ideas, discuss current issues, and connect with others on compounding practice updates. Whether you’re troubleshooting an audit finding or exploring best practices, this community is here to support.

Clinical Specialty
- Infectious Diseases & Antimicrobial Stewardship
- This community brings together pharmacists across Canada with an interest or specialization in infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship. It’s a forum to connect, collaborate, and share evidence-based practices.
The purpose of the Infectious Diseases & Antimicrobial Stewardship Community is to provide a forum for pharmacists across Canada who are interested in or specializing in Infectious Diseases pharmacotherapy to network, discuss, collaborate and share information.
This community will be chaired by Anna Lee.
Special Interest
- Planetary Health
- This Community centers on planetary health, uniting members who are committed to driving sustainable practices within pharmacy.
