New CSHP Communities to Explore

October 7, 2025

At the heart of CSHP is community—a core value and a key part of our strategic plan.

We’re excited to announce the next step in our transition from Pharmacy Specialty Networks (PSNs) to CSHP Communities with the launch of six new discussion topics in the Clinical Specialty category.

As we continue the move to this new platform, some QID PSNs will remain active. We encourage members to stay engaged and participate in both spaces until the transition is complete.

Clinical Specialty

  • Drug Information / Evidence Based Medicine
  • Perioperative and Surgical Care
  • Anticoagulation / Cardiology
  • Geriatrics
  • Oncology
  • Pediatrics

Each CSHP.ca Community will provide a dedicated space for discussion, knowledge exchange, and peer-to-peer support.

Explore what each one has to offer below!

Drug Information / Evidence Based Medicine

CSHP’s new Drug Information / Evidence-Based Medicine Community is your hub for discussions and resources spanning key areas of practice, including: Drug Information, Drug Shortages, Drug Use Evaluation, Medication Safety & Parenteral Services.

Chairs Theresa Hurley and Caitlin Roy will help to lead the discussion.

Perioperative and Surgical Care

CSHP’s new Perioperative and Surgical Care Community focuses on perioperative care and transplant services and provides the opportunity to share expertise, discuss best practices, and address challenges unique to surgical and transplant pharmacy.

This community will be chaired by Eric Romeril.

Anticoagulation / Cardiology

Connect with fellow pharmacy professionals specializing in cardiovascular care and anticoagulation management. Join to discuss clinical questions, review emerging evidence, and collaborate on optimizing patient outcomes in cardiology.

The conversation will be lead by Chair Ava Azhir.

Geriatrics

This Community is a dedicated space for pharmacy professionals passionate about optimizing medication use and patient care for older adults. Join and exchange insights and advance safe, evidence-based care for Canada’s aging population.

Chair Grazia Prochazka will be guiding the discussion.

Oncology

As cancer care continuously evolves, there are always new clinical questions. Come connect with colleagues working in a variety of care areas across the country.

Anjie Yang will serve as Chair for this community.

Pediatrics

The Pediatrics community connects those working with pediatric and neonatal populations, providing a forum to discuss and share information regarding pharmacotherapy, medication safety, and other issues facing our youngest patients.

Roxane Carr serves as this community's Chair.

As we roll out CSHP Communities, we look forward to fostering deeper connections and more impactful conversations across our membership.

Join multiple communities, spark new ideas, and dive in to inspire your practice.
