Call for expressions of interest: Official Publications Working Groups  

Deadline date for applications is July 31, 2025.

CSHP is beginning work to update several of its official publications. We are inviting expressions of interest from members who are interested in contributing their expertise to this important work through time-limited working groups.

The working groups will report to the Professional Practice Advisory Committee and will focus on updating the following publications:

• Safe Transitions of Care for Patients Taking Opioids (2018)
• Controlled Drugs and Substances in Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities: Guidelines on Secure Management and Diversion Prevention (2019 – Open Access)
• Research: Statement on Supporting and Conducting Research in Pharmacy (2011)
• Prescribing by Pharmacists: Statement (2009)

We are looking for pharmacy professionals across a wide range of practice settings and levels of experience. Ideal candidates may have one or more of the following:

• Experience in pharmacy practice relevant to any of the above topic areas
• Experience reviewing and synthesizing literature and practice standards
• A connection to academic or research institutions (Research statement)
• Knowledge of pharmacy technician practice and intersection with the above topics

Whether you’re early in your career or a seasoned expert, your perspective is valued. This is a great opportunity to help shape guidance that supports pharmacy practice across Canada.
